Two types of miniature crystal resonators, the NX5032SD and NX8045GB, are intended for frequency control in transmitters and receivers used in Tire Pressure Monitor Systems (TPMS) applications. Both are hermetically sealed in ceramic SMD packages that exceed the shock, vibration, drop and acceleration requirements of TPMS. They operate over the temperature range of -40° to +125°C. The NX5032SD is available in the frequency range of 9.84 to 40 MHz, and the NX8045GB in the range of 5 to 40 MHz. Frequency stability is specified at ±50 ppm at 25°C. The NX5032SD measures 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm and 1.0 mm high, while the NX8045GB is 8.0 mm x 4.5 mm and 1.8 mm high. The NX5032SD is designed to reduce EMI, which is critical for in-hub applications. Pricing for the NX5032SD is $0.55 each/10,000 and for the NX8045GB, $0.43 each/10,000. NDK AMERICA INC., Belvidere, IL. (800) 635-9825.
