The OptoTEC line of thermoelectric coolers includes a new class of devices built with tin-antimony solder. Since this solder melts at 232°C, the new series is designated ET to denote elevated temperature.
The expanded line of coolers now includes thermoelectrics constructed with solders melting at three different temperatures: 138°C, 232°C and above 270°C. This provides users with the flexibility needed to closely and reliably match the thermoelectric to the package it must cool.
The OptoTEC product line is targeted at telecomm applications. Options available in the product line include wire-bondable posts or pads, aluminum nitride ceramics, and custom metallization patterns on the ceramic.
