Promising high sensitivity and stability in the IR and soft X-ray regions, the S8380 and S8381 NMOS linear image sensors are designed for multi-channel spectrophotometry applications and image readout systems. Operating from 200 nm to 1,000 nm, both sensors have a peak sensitivity wavelength of 750 nm. Dark current is typically 0.2 pA for the S8380 and 0.1 pA for the S8381, while saturation charge is typically 50 pC and 25 pC, respectively. The S8380 has a pixel pitch of 50 µm and the S8381 25 µm. Both employ pixels that are 2.5 mm high. The S8380 is available with 128, 256, or 512 pixels, while the S8381 comes with 256, 512, or 1,024 pixels. Offered in a 22-pin design, pricing starts at $460.
