Optimized for optical network interface cards (NICs), the SEL381x series crystal clock oscillators are available in frequencies from 25 to 670 MHz. They come in an industry-standard, leadless, 5 x 7-mm ceramic package, and employ an AT-cut quartz crystal bulk-wave resonator, which is said to make possible the broad frequency range. Frequency stability is ±20 ppm from 0°C to 70°C and ±50 ppm from -40°C to 85°C with phase jitter not exceeding 3 ps. The oscillators support 3.3V LVPECL operation with a typical current consumption of 85 mA, and their differential outputs maintain a 45%/55% waveform symmetry. As an option, the output can be disabled for testing via one of the component's six, gold-plated contact pads. Prices start at $10 each/1,000. SARONIX, Menlo Park, CA. (800) 227-8974.
