Designed for crash and flutter testing applications, the Model 7268C three-axis, piezoresistive accelerometer meets requirements of SAE J211 for anthropomorphic dummy instrumentation. The component integrates micro-machined sensors and mechanical stops in a package measuring 10 x 10 x 13 mm. The accelerometer is said to provide high output and resonance frequency and to employ minimum damping. Operating temperature range is from -18°C to +66°C. Other integrated features include two active arms and two fixed resistors for shunt calibration and diodes for ESD protection. Offered as a replacement for Model 7268B, the Model 7268C is available in acceleration ranges of 500g or 2 kg full scale.
