Piezoresistive Accelerometers Perform General Purpose Shock Testing

Oct. 25, 2010
For cost-sensitive, general-purpose shock testing, the Endevco model 7287 low-mass piezoresistive accelerometer weighs less than one gram and performs cost-effective measurement of long duration transient shocks.

For cost-sensitive, general-purpose shock testing, the Endevco model 7287 low-mass piezoresistive accelerometer weighs less than one gram and performs cost-effective measurement of long duration transient shocks. With a measurement range of 2,000g, 200-mV full scale output and a resonance frequency of more than 20,000 Hz, the component utilizes a MEMS sensing element incorporating integral mechanical stops. Frequency response is from dc to 4,000 Hz at ±5% with a non-linearity of less than 1%. MEGGITT SENSING SYSTEMS, San Juan Capistrano, CA. (949) 493-8181.
