With operation from 1800 MHz to 1860 MHz, the CPLL58-1800-1860 phase-locked loop (PLL)/synthesizer offers a typical step size of 10 kHz. The unit, which comes in a 0.582-in. x 0.8-in. 0.15-in. SMD package, essentially wraps a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) around a PLL in a package that is only marginally larger than a VCO on its own and significantly smaller than separate VCO/PLL modules. The complete PLL/synthesizer needs only an external frequency reference and supply voltages for the internal PLL and VCO; it is programmed using a standard three-line interface (Data, Clock and Load Enable). Typical phase noise for the CPLL58-1800-1860 is -103 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset with minimum output power of 3 dBm. VCO voltage is 5 Vdc; PLL voltage is 3 Vdc. Second harmonic suppression is -20 dBc typical. Applications include telecommunications, computers, radio equipment, base stations and other electronic applications. CRYSTEK CORP., Ft. Myers, FL.
