Equipped with an advanced motion algorithm that provides smooth and accurate cursor control in all directions, the USAR PixiPoint Z pointing device IC requires no special drivers for z-axis functionality. The encoder is designed for strain gauge miniature joysticks with z-axis functionality, such as the CTS Series 106 and 108. The IC implements the Tap, Double Tap, and Press Hold functions in firmware. In addition, the track stick IC enables Scroll as well as the anchor function of Autoscroll and Panning, which allows for both horizontal and vertical movement.The IC offers a PS/2 port for the hot-plug connection of an additional pointing device and is designed to work with notebook, handheld and other portable systems.
