The capabilities of the firm's NetSend print servers has been further extended with support for the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP), an emerging international standard. With the addition of IPP, NetSend products are touted as the first in the industry to simultaneously support three protocols for printing over the Internet. By using the product's Internet printing capabilities, a user can employ a PC or other device at one site to end a document to a printer at a remote location over the Internet. NetSend works transparently with virtually all Windows applications, including those written for Windows 2000, Linux and most other OS. The IPP protocol is included at no extra charge with the firm's NetSend print servers. Single-unit pricing ranges from $260 to $445.
