New patented ferromagnetic proximity switches sense magnetically conducted materials without the need for two separate magnet and sensing elements. The MK2 Series of ferromagnetic metal detection sensors operate in the presence of ferrous metal, rather than requiring actuating magnets. They can be mounted from the front or above, and are available in Form-A and Form-B versions with a variety of termination options. Applications include end-travel-sensing limit switches, position control, security, and fire protection doors. The sensors also allow users to set tolerances independent of a magnet. Optional sabotage loops are available and prices start at $3.95 each.
