The company’s latest PTC components sport stainless-steel packages, making them viable for level-sensing chores in a variety of liquids. The B59050D1100B040 type is suitable for measuring water levels and is operable within a temperature range from +10°C to +65°C. The B59050D1120B040 suits liquids such as oil or fuel. The permissible temperature range in this case is between -25°C to +50°C. To prevent overheating, the PTC elements operate at a voltage below 18 V. Samples of both components are available now and pricing ranges from $1.80 to $7.30 each depending on type and quantity. EPCOS INC., Iselin, NJ. (800) 888-7728.
