Forecasting a 93% cost savings over traditional high-output emitters, the PIRELC high-output emitter deploys as a steady state or pulsed source of blackbody radiation for near-to-far infrared applications. The solid state emitter delivers an output of 4 x 10-2 W/cm2 at one inch from the filament, making it suitable for a variety of applications including industrial and medical gas analysis, process control instrumentation, spectroscopy. and plastics sorting. Available in an industry-standard T0-5 header package, its infrared output is reportedly 30% greater than that of traditional incandescent bulbs, and is designed to operate at a rated maximum foil temperature of 1,000?K for wavelengths of 2.9 microns and beyond.
