Relays Safe For Hazardous Locations

With a thickness of just 6.2 mm, this series of DIN rail-mounted terminal block relay modules is touted as being the thinnest in the industry to carry Class I, Zone 2 UL approval. The relay modules meet Class I, Zone 2 Hazardous Locations in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry and offer a temperature code approval of T6 (85¡C). Called the flare Series, the modules suit high density/output wiring applications requiring switching or timing functions, saving an estimated 80% of panel space required by conventional cube relays. Users can place flare relay modules inside standard weatherproof enclosures directly in hazardous locations, instead of using more expensive explosion-proof enclosures. The flare series includes both mechanical and opto-coupler relay modules, as well as single- and multi-function timer modules. The modules comply with the European CE directive requirements and have electrical agency approval from UL, CSA and VDE.
