The Model 2771B remote charge converter, a low-noise, two-wire single-ended device designed for use with piezoelectric transducers, has been enhanced with the transducer electronic data sheet (TEDS). The device can now be used with Smart Sensor Technology, capable of communicating under the IEEE P1451.4 protocol. The ability to store and recall TEDS data is said to reduce test setup time.
Features of the converter include fixed gains of 0.1, 1, or 10 mV/pC and operation within a constant current range of 4 to 20 mA. Mounting is accomplished via a cable harness clamp. An option, M1, provides a BNC connector for panel mounting.
