A fail-safe, active force-guided design in a series of safety relays ensures that normally open and normally closed contacts cannot be simultaneously closed. Users may specify relays with force-guided contacts in sets of two to 10 contacts. The relays come in numerous sizes, contact configurations, and materials to match applications.Additional safety measures in these relays include higher chambering and safer electrical separation between logic and load contacts. The latter is the result of reinforced insulation between the contacts within each set. A return spring ensures that mechanically linked contacts maintain a 0.5-mm minimum air gap.
