A new inductive proximity sensor has been designed, tested and built for mobile machines used in off-road applications. The sensor dons 316 stainless steel housing and is rated IP69K to ensure the highest level of protection against liquid ingress. With an operating temperature range of –40°F to +185°F, the sensor is designed to tolerate harsh outdoor conditions and extreme temperature fluctuations, as well as be immune to extreme shock and vibration levels. It is also designed to ignore radiated electrical interference levels of 100 V/m according to ISO 7637-2 severity level IV. Measuring 12 mm, 18 mm, and 30 mm in diameter, it can be flush or non-flush mountable. The 24 Vdc units are available hardwired or quick disconnect connectors. Pricing is $86.
