Monitoring of up to six normally closed emergency-stop switch circuits for contact failures or wiring faults is provided by the ES-TA-3D1 safety module. The unit uses redundant self-checking circuitry to monitor the condition of both contacts on every emergency-stop switch connected to the relay. The built-in DeviceNet fieldbus provides network compatibility for non-safety monitoring of module status and diagnostic information from a central location. Information available on DeviceNet includes: module manufacturer and model; module status, emergency-stop inputs status, monitor input status, reset mode, reset input status, output relay status; and diagnostics data, such as fault types and troubleshooting information. Users can easily switch between automatic reset and manual reset as needs change.
