The FS high-frequency slide switch debuts as the industry’s first such component capable of handling high-frequency applications. Targeting wireless, test, measurement, and medical applications, the switch can operate at frequencies from dc to 1 GHz at a minimum impedance of 75_ and is designed to replace relays and standard switches. Insertion loss is 0.5 dB maximum at 1 GHz and isolation is 40 dB minimum at 1 GHz. The switch features a self-cleaning, twin-contact mechanism with gold plating. Its gold-plated copper terminals are straight PC-mount with a wrap-around metal housing. Two actuator heights of 7.4 mm and 12.4 mm are available with tactile feedback and a travel of 3.5 mm. Operating temperature range is from -25°C to 70°C. NKK SWITCHES, Scottsdale, AZ. (480) 991-0942.
