Built in a miniature 5 x 7.5 x 2 mm surface-mount package with large solder pads with 60 mil gold plating for enhanced solderability, the R-series clock oscillators cover the 1.544 MHz to 125 MHz frequency range. Standard frequencies are 25, 44.726, 50, 75, 100 and 125 MHz. The SMT clock oscillators are available with frequency accuracies of from 20 ppm to 100 ppm, over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
Solder pads extend up the sides of the device and draw solder reflow during soldering operations. Soldering gives the castellations a visible solder filet, which facilitates machine vision solder joint inspection. Available for 3.3V and 5V operation, the oscillators also feature low current draw, which minimizes operating temperature and improves equipment reliability. Actual load current for the 3.3V part rises from 3.3 mA maximum at 3 MHz to 16 mA maximum at 125 MHz. The 5V versions draw 10 mA maximum at 3 MHz rising to 35 mA maximum at 125 MHz. Pricing is from $3.00 each.
