In what are described as ultra-miniature, surface-mount packages measuring 0.5" square, the SLX-Series frequency synthesizers feature fixed-frequency or serially-programmable outputs in bands from 100 MHz to 3 GHz. Bandwidths are available from the octave at fc of less than 600 MHz to 20% bandwidths at 2.5 GHz with user-specified step sizes from 10 kHz to 1 MHz. With an output of 1 GHz, typical phase-noise characteristics are -90 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and -115 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offsets. Phase-noise figures with an output of 3 GHz are -85 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and -110 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offsets. The synthesizers operate from a typical supply voltage of 3 Vdc and consume less than 15 mA.
