Studs Exhibit High Tensile Strength And Hardness
Addressing demanding apps requiring reliable thread strength and hardness, the Type HFG8 unified and Type HF109 metric clinch studs are heat-treated to achieve tensile strengths up to Grade 8 and Property Class 10.9, respectively, meeting 150 ksi/1,040 MPa minimum. Their large-diameter heads reduce compressive stress on panels and promote development of full thread strength. The components are available in thread sizes up to M8 and in lengths up to 25 mm. Longer lengths are available upon request. PENNENGINEERING, Danboro, PA. (800) 237-4736.
