The CSET05 series of low-profile electromagnetic transducers employ a nickel alloy N50 vibrating diaphragm and are designed for applications such as PDAs, medical instruments and handheld equipment. The CSET05A outputs 83 dB (typical), and the CSET05B outputs 82 dB (typical) at 10 cm at 4,000 Hz. Both devices function across a temperature range of -30ºC to +85ºC and voltage range of 2V to 4V. The devices have a footprint of 5.0 mm x 5.5 mm. Overall height of the CSET05A is 3.0 mm ±0.2 mm, and overall height of the CSET05B is 2.5 mm ±0.2 mm. Both variations weigh 0.6g. The devices are housed in a lead-free, RoHS compliant, miniature SMT package and are provided in a LCP Vectra plastic case. The CSET05 transducers are available in tape and reel packaging priced at $0.95 each/1,000. For more information, contact Ely Zofan at CHALLENGE ELECTRONICS, Deer Park, NY. (800) 722-8197.
