Surge Suppressors Come In Pipe Style

The SPN Series of pipe-line surge suppressors has expanded for uses in dp transmitters and other process measurement instrumentation. The devices protect equipment from lightning, voltage spikes and over-voltage surges and can also be used in field equipment in water and wastewater applications. The suppressors provide 2.5 kA/line of surge current capability and automatically reset after each transient. They can be used on either analog or digital signal/data lines. Housed in a standard 1/2” metal conduit, the suppressors easily screw into place. They are hermetically sealed and are suited for most hazardous NEMA environments. The SPN-42 Series protects equipment with two transients and the SPN-43 is used on equipment with three transmitters. Available in operating voltages of 5, 12, 24, 28, 36, 50 and 60V, pricing in lots of 100 starts at $69 each for SPN-42 Series and at $71 each for SPN-43 Series devices.
