The latest J-Series shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera claims to have the highest sensitivity available in a military-hardened NIR-SWIR camera. It features 1280 x 1024 pixels with a 15-μm pitch and a 60-Hz full frame rate. Measuring less than 4.3 cubic inches and weighing less than 125g, the un-cooled camera is available in two versions: one operates in the shortwave infrared from 0.9 µm to 1.7 µm spectral range and the other offers extended NIR-SWIR range from 0.7 µm to 1.7 µm. Both cameras have no mechanical shutters and integrate easily into existing gimbaled or handheld imaging systems. Other features include automatic gain control and non-uniformity corrections.
