Epoxy seal moisture protection for thermoelectric coolers is available. Using low-density, syntaxic foam epoxy resin, electronic encapsulation and moisture protection is achieved. When cured, the material is completely uni-cellular, resulting in negligible moisture absorption. It exhibits a low dielectric constant, low coefficient of thermal expansion, low cure shrinkage and reduced thermal conductance. Coolers with this form of sealing have a useable temperature range of -40°C to +130°C. Other forms of sealing with different temperature ranges are also available. Perimeter sealing using epoxy seal is available for the CP Series, OptoTEC, ThermaTEC, PolarTEC, UltraTEC and select Multistage and Center Hole thermoelectric coolers.
