The surface-mount B6J jog lever switch provides confirming tactile feedback in all three directions (scroll up, scroll down, and select). Equipped with an actuator measuring only 2.3 mm thick, the part's compact size facilitates high-density component mounting, The B6J has a switching capacity of 10 mA, 5 V dc and a long service life of 100,000 operations minimum. The switch will find its way into small handheld devices, including CD, DVD, and MP3 players, cellular phones, and PDAs. Other applications include test and measurement equipment, handheld laboratory testers and analyzers, and mobile environmental parameter monitors. Supplied on tape-and-reel, the B6J allows for easy product assembly by using automatic insertion and reflow soldering. The B6J is available in reels of 1350 for $5670.
