For applications such as gasoline pumps, surveillance cameras, and LCD panels that require a clear viewing area, the company’s transparent heaters employ an optical grade transparent film that provides a maximum light transmission from 80% to 95% with no obstructive elements in the viewing area. Depending upon the application’s requirements, the heaters are available in thicknesses of 0.15 mm and can be customized for special requirements. The transparent heaters do not employ wire elements and incorporate components such as contrast enhancement filters and anti-glare treatments to further improve visibility. In addition, thermostats, thermistors, thermocouples, RTDs, thermal fuses, and other control devices can be integrated into any heater. Performance and readibility of LCDs using the heaters is ensured down to -40°F. ELMWOOD SENSORS/INVENSYS SENSOR SYSTEMS, Pawtucket, RI. (800) 356-9663.
