Featuring a customized setting function, the SMB380 triaxial acceleration sensor can support a variety of applications. Freely programmable and fully digital, the sensor measures 3 mm x 3 mm x 0.9 mm, making it suitable for use in cramped consumer products. Operating current consumption is less than 200 µA and 1 µA in standby, said to be a benchmark in the market. Current consumption can be reduced even further via a programmable measurement function. The SMB380 generates a 10-bit output signal that is transmitted via a serial interface, programmable in I2C or SPI mode. In addition, the sensor features an interrupt signal allowing for the configuration of three measurement ranges: ±2 g, ±4 g, and ±8 g. Samples are available now.
