Housed in a hermetically-sealed, 5 x 3.2-mm ceramic surface-mount package having a seated height of just 1.1 mm, the T4000 clock oscillators are claimed to be the worldÕs smallest such devices. The series spans a 1-to-40 MHz frequency range, is HCMOS and TTL compatible, and features tristate and disable functions. They also maintain a 45%/55% waveform stability, have a -40¡C to +85¡C operating temperature range, and are compatible with IR reflow processes and automatic pick-and-place equipment. Applications for the new timing devices include cellular handsets and telecomm, wireless, LAN and WAN equipment. The units are supplied on tape-and-reel.
