Designed for use in PDAs, two-way pagers, and Internet appliances, a new USB terminator and filter is a single-chip solution for USB upstream applications. Utilizing the companyÕs patented P/Active technology, the PACUSB provides EMI/RFI filtering, termination and electrostatic discharge protection that exceeds IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 specifications. The device can also protect PDAs or Internet appliances from accidental damage caused by ESD up to 30 kV contact discharge per MIL-STD883D, method 3015.The PACUSB terminates the two data lines of the USB port and is available with three series resistor values: 15W, 33 W and 22 W for the PACUSB-U1, PACUSB-U2, PACUSB-U3, respectively. Housed in a 6-pin SC70 package, the PACUSB-U1/U2/U3 is priced at $0.30 each/10,000.
