Intended to compliment PLL designs, V044ME01 voltage controlled oscillator covers the frequency range of 42 to 46 MHz within 0.5 to 4.5 vdc tuning range, which is well-suited for PLLs where the error voltage can be taken directly from the IC’s charge pump. Typical SSB performance is -118 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz from the carrier while drawing 8 mA and operating from a 5 vdc supply. Linearity is 1.1:1 over frequency and temperature. The oscillator suppresses harmonics to better than -13 dBc with an average tuning gain of only 3 MHz/V. And it pushes less than 1 MHz/V within a 5% change of the supply voltage while pulling less than 1 MHz with a 14 dB return loss, any phase. Price: $15 each/1000.
