The V295ME01 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) emerges as a high-performance, low-power, and low-cost component for demanding portable-radio designs. Operating from a 5V supply, frequency range is from 294 MHz to 296 MHz within a 0.75- to 4.5-Vdc tuning range with a typical spectral purity of 126 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz from the carrier. Power consumption is typically 19 mA. Other features include the ability to suppress harmonic levels to better than -10 dBc, an average tuning gain of 5 MHz/V, a nominal output power of 0 dBm ±3 dBm into a 50Ù load, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The VCO comes in a surface-mount package measuring 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.22" and is available on tape and reel. For pricing, call Z-COMMUNICATIONS INC., San Diego, CA. (858) 621-2700.
