Groomed for applications such as digital radios, fixed wireless access, satellite systems, base stations, and test instruments, the CVCxxx voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) offer operating frequencies from 50 MHz to 3.5 GHz in three industry-standard packages. They are said to exhibit low harmonic suppression and low phase noise to −115 dBc/Hz, wide bandwidths, and extended operating temperatures from −40°C to +85°C. Custom pecifications are also available. The three available packages include: the 12.7 mm x 12.7 mm x 3.6 mm CVCO55 with a frequency range of 50 MHz to 3.5 GHz; the 10.16 mm x 12.6 mm x 4.2 mm CVCO45 with a range of 50 MHz to 2 GHz; and the 7.62 mm x 7.62 mm x 2 mm CVCO33 with a range of 50 MHz to 2 GHz. Depending on the component, prices range from $7.50 to $18 each/1,000. For more information, contact John Shoemake at CRYSTEK CRYSTALS CORP., Fort Myers, FL. (800) 237-3061.
