Designed for demanding wireless local loop telecomm systems, V584ME02 voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) generates frequencies covering 1304 to 1595 MHz within 2 to 9.5 vdc of tuning. The new VCO operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 70°C and exhibits a typical clean spectral signal of -103 dBc/Hz at 10 kHzHz from the carrier with a nominal 10.5 dBm of output power into a 50 ohm load. The output power varies less than 1 dB across all frequencies while operating at any fixed temperature. The device can strengthen any WLL PLL with its 1.1:1 linearity over frequency and temperature and covers the 290-MHz bandwidth with an average gain of 48 MHz/V. The oscillator operates from a 12 vdc supply while drawing 26 mA and suppressing the 2nd harmonic to better than -10 dBc. Package dimensions are 0.50" x 0.50" x 0.22".
