Covering the frequency range of 2 to 6 GHz with very low FM noise at 100 kHz of typically -120 dBc, Model YOM2979 YIG oscillators offer an RF power output of 15 dBm, typical, with a 2nd harmonic, better than 13 dB below the fundamental. The devices measure 0.6" x 1" x 1" and can be integrated with an analog 0V to 10V control or 12-bit digital driver to tune the unit from 2 to 6 GHz. They also are available in other octave or multi-octave frequency bands with similar performance and are intended for use in spectrum analyzers, sweepers, telecomm equipment, microwave systems, and more. Other RF performance specs for the oscillators include a pulling figure of less than 0.4 MHz, tuning linearity of ±0.05%, and FM port sensitivity of 300 kHz per mA, typical, with VSWR of 2:1.
