Allowing United Kingdom (UK) viewers to watch digital terrestrial TV (DTT) channels on their analog TVs, the DTTi5516 integrates a terrestrial demodulator and a MPEG decoder in a 27 mm x 27 mm PBGA package. The device also includes a CPU and enhanced graphics capabilities, making it suitable for use in set-top boxes that employ the DVB-Multimedia Home Platform. It meets all the requirements of the UK market and is supported by a large number of software developers, both in the UK and in mainland Europe. Additional features include software compatibility with the STi5516 and STV0360 with minimal software porting required from existing designs. Price is $13 each/10,000.
