Embedded: MCU Targets Personal Media Players

The Au1200T microcontroller (MCU) targets the growing personal media player (PMP) market. It runs up to 500 MHz and uses under 400 mW at 400 MHz. Also, it can handle DVD-quality video with its integrated Media Acceleration Engine. Peripherals include a USB 2.0 host and device interface, LCD controller, and AES-128 bit encryption engine. It supports Windows CE and Linux as well. The 333-MHz Au1200T starts at $22.50.
