Targeted at the laptop computer, desktop system, memory module and high-end networking markets, the new 2.5V VCX family, the latest addition to firm's SiliconInterface logic product line, is designed to support the low-voltage market driven by high-speed microprocessors and SDRAMs migrating to 2.5V to achieve lower power consumption. The VCX ICs include a 3.6V I/O tolerant feature that supports mixed 1.8V to 3.3V systems. An extended specification product is also available for 5V I/O tolerant. The 16-bit devices initially being offered include the VCX16244/16245 and VCX16373/16374. The devices' three-state output drive is balanced, with a static power consumption of just 20µA and propagation delays of less than 2.5 ns typical. All devices are available in 48-pin TSSOP packages.
