RTC Allows Use Of High ESR Crystals

The DS1341RTC real-time clock (RTC) integrates an AGC circuit for dynamic drive-current adjustment to ensure that the device consumes the least amount of current required for operation. Additionally, it supports high-ESR crystals to give users greater flexibility in crystal selection. Features include an I2C interface, two time-of-day alarms, two interrupt outputs, a programmable square-wave output, and a serial bus timeout mechanism. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. Available in an eight-pin microSOP, prices start at $0.94 each/1,000.
