Integrating the company’s Faroudja technologies for multi-function full-high-definition, the STDP8028 SoC is reportedly the first to combine a DisplayPort 1.1a and HDMI 1.3 receiver in a single chip. Integrated features include multi-standard worldwide 3D video decoders for both standard- and high-definition inputs over CVBS, S-Video, and component inputs, advanced Faroudja DCDi Cinema technology, and multi-standard digital audio decoders. In addition, the device’s game-mode support enables crisp graphics by maintaining a less-than-one frame delay. The STDP8028 is in volume production and is available in a 409-ball HSBGA package.
