Targeted at enabling a broad range of terminal products, applications, and Internet services, the Wireless Launchpad Suite includes integrated chipset functions, system software and add-on software. This is claimed to offer manufacturers advanced Internet functionality and multimedia features while eliminating the need for additional components. The suite includes MIDI software, MIDI/text/graphics-based applications, audio decoders including MPEG Layer-3 capability, support for wireless VoIP-based group communications, a QTV MPEG-4 streaming video decoder, and still image decoders. Other features include support for Bluetooth wireless audio/data transfers, USB, PureVoice Mail, IP stack, and a wireless application protocol (WAP) browser interface.
