Measuring a lithe 1.45 mm x 1 mm x 0.55 mm, the FMS6151 video filter/driver predicts improved application performance and longer battery life via its fifth-order, 8-MHz standard-definition filter, 3.8-mA operating current, and 25-nA power down. The chip supports operating voltages from 2.7V to 5V and employs dc-coupled inputs to ease d/a converter interfacing. For design flexibility, users have a choice of ac- or dc-coupled outputs: dc-coupled outputs eliminate the need for ac-coupling capacitors while ac-coupled outputs employ SAG correction to reduce capacitor size. Additionally, the device includes 75O cable drivers, which eliminate the need for external drive components. Available in a lead-free, 6-terminal MicroPak, price is $0.35 each/1,000.
