Debuting as the market's highest performance, switchable HD/SD video reconstruction filters and buffers, the three-channel MAX7454 and MAX7455 specify a passband response of -2.3 dB at 30 MHz and a stopband response of -55 dB at 74.25 MHz. Supporting 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i scanning standards, each of their channels combines a lowpass filter with a video buffer capable of driving a 150Ù load with a 2 Vp-p signal. Magnitude response of the lowpass filter can be switched between a 10 MHz and 30 MHz bandwidth through a control pin. Input and output signals are dc-coupled, eliminating the need for coupling caps. The MAX7454 has an output buffer gain of +6Db, and the MAX7455 has an output buffer gain of +12 dB. Both are available in a 20-pin TSSOP package with prices starting at $2.75 each/1,000.
