12-Bit Scope Enters General-Purpose Markets

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, MAY 2011 – Introduced as the first 12-bit oscilloscope for the general-purpose market, the WaveRunner HRO (High Resolution Oscilloscope)  6 Zi features a 12-bit ADC, memory of 256 Mpoints/channel, and a SNR of 55 dB. DC vertical gain accuracy is ±0.5% and the deep memory allows 30s of data capture at 10 Msamples/s. A pivoting display enables viewing signals vertically and horizontally, a particular advantage when viewing up to 36 channels using the mixed signal option, when operating in the frequency domain using the spectrum analysis package, or when viewing decoded waveforms using the vast selection of tools. Additionally, the scope features a comprehensive toolset that includes a wide range of application packages, advanced triggering to isolate events, a user interface developed for quick and easy navigation, and a wide range of probing options.
