The solid-state CCFL backlight assembly has been designed for 15" desktop TFT LCD monitors. The assembly utilizes a backlighting panel that incorporates the company's proprietary MicroLens technology, through which light extraction qualities are precision-molded into the panel, maximizing lighting efficiency and minimizing cost. Up to 30,000 optical features per-square-inch can be individually customized to optimize the light ray angles, particularly when using light management films to enhance brightness.
