The NL8048BC19-02 amorphous-silicon thin-film-transistor LCD module provides a viewing area measuring 7" (18 cm) diagonal and employs a white-LED backlight system. Delivering a WVGA resolution, the module specifies a lifespan of approximately fifty thousand hours, attributed to the white-LED backlight, which also eliminates the need for an inverter. In contrast to CCFL backlights, the LED topology enables module thickness and weight reductions by more than 15%. Additionally, the risk of damage to the LCD from shock and vibration is significantly lower. Other NL8048BC19-02 specs include a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 160°, contrast ratio of 1,000:1, response time of 25 ms, and an operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C.
