Promising insights in minutes versus hours, the N6705A dc-power analyzer delivers intricate power measurements without having to write programming code. A highly integrated instrument, the unit combines up to four dc power supplies, a DMM, oscilloscope, arbitrary waveform generator, and a data logger, accessible via an easy-to-use interface with all functions available on the front panel. Built-in current measurements eliminate the need for transducers, i.e., current probes and shunts, plus connections and controls are color coded to the display. Other features include support for modules totaling up to 600W of power, 21 modules to choose from, output speeds up to 160 ms per step-voltage change, a bandwidth up to 5 kHz, 64 MB megabytes of memory, USB support, 10/100 Base-T Ethernet and GPIB interfaces, and compliance with the LXI class C specification. Price for analyzer is $6,500, and modules range from $450 to $2,250. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA. 800-829-4444.
