The firm sells and licenses its SONET IP, including its chips and ASIC cores, to companies that supply high-end data communication and telecom equipment. Its portfolio of products is said to reduce overall system development cycles, development risk, and costs by enabling higher levels of integration. Since its inception, the company has addressed the convergence of the LAN and WAN markets with a suite of ASIC cores and chips that fully comply with Bellcore, ITU, ANSI and IEEE standards. Most recently, it has announced it will produce Packet over SONET and ATM over SONET chips.
