A new 100 x 33 resolution display has been designed to include a white or blue LED backlight. The DV4900 consists of a single IC controller with integrated charge-pump, software contrast adjustment, and temperature compensation. Measuring 80 mm x 35 mm with a viewing area of 67.15 mm x 25 mm, the module is useful for hand-held portable applications. With an operating temperature of –20°C to +70°C, and an operating voltage of 5V or 3V, the DV4900 works well in applications such as portable instrumentation either used indoors or outdoors.
