Benchtop DMM Is Versatile As Well As Portable

Nov. 1, 2002

Packing a wealth of measurement functions in a benchtop instrument that can easily be used in the field, the PRO-100 digital multimeter (DMM) is said to have a price tag comparable to most handheld units. Offered with a three-year warrantee, the DMM has a retractable ac cord for in-house use and can be battery powered on site. Standard DMM measurement functions include true RMS ac voltage to 750V, dc voltage to 1 kV, ac/dc current to 10A, and resistance measurements to 40 M?. Frequency measurements to 1 MHz and capacitance measurements to 40 µF are also included. And all readings are displayed on a 3,999-count, backlit LCD with bargraph. Other features include data hold, delay hold, minimum/maximum hold, audible continuity, diode test, memory, relative mode, sleep mode, and auto power off. A storage compartment is provided on top for test leads and the included carry strap. Price is $199. For further information, call Frank Menichello at GLOBAL SPECIALTIES, Cheshire, CT.
